A legacy of 1969. A promise renewed in Coimbatore.
Who we are, what we believe, and why it matters for your child.
It began with one primary school and one conviction.
The SRM Group, Sri Ramaswamy Memorial, was founded by Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar with the establishment of the Florence Nightingale Primary School in Chennai: a small school with a simple aim, quality education for children. From that first classroom grew one of India's most recognised names in education, a comprehensive hub of higher learning with campuses across the country.
From 1998 the group's commitment widened into diversified verticals, each built to serve, and today the SRM name stands over universities, hospitals, research centres, media houses, and schools.
Group Vision
To emerge as a world class university in creating and disseminating knowledge, and in providing students a unique learning experience in science, technology, medicine, management, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the world and the betterment of mankind.
Group Mission
Move up through international alliances and collaborative initiatives to achieve global excellence. Accomplish a process to advance knowledge in a rigorous academic and research environment. Attract and build people in a rewarding and inspiring environment, by fostering freedom, empowerment, creativity, and innovation.
The numbers behind the name your child will wear.
A learning city of nearly nine hundred acres, where the road from kindergarten to a great college runs through one trusted family.
Eight campuses, nine colleges, fourteen schools of study, and one standard: from the Faculty of Medicine to the Faculty of Law, from engineering to agriculture, hotel management to banking.
Six decades, one direction.
The first step.
Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar establishes the Florence Nightingale Primary School in Chennai. Quality education for children: the conviction every later institution is built on.
The school grows up.
The primary school rises to a Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
Engineering arrives.
The SRM College of Engineering and Technology opens at Kattankulathur, following the Valliammai Polytechnic of 1984. The campus that will become a learning city begins.
The health sciences decade.
Nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and the SRM Dental College: the group builds the faculties that heal.
Beyond Tamil Nadu, beyond education.
A Delhi NCR campus opens in Ghaziabad, and SRM Technologies begins the group's diversification into technology, media, healthcare, and infrastructure.
A national presence.
The flagship news channel Puthiya Thalaimurai and digital platform The Federal take birth. SIMS Hospital opens. SRM Universities rise in Haryana and Sikkim.
SRM Public School is born in Chennai.
The group's six decades of educational experience come to CBSE schooling, alongside the new SRM University at Amaravati. Year upon year of learning follows: how children actually acquire knowledge, how confidence is built, and how a school earns a family's trust and keeps it.
The promise keeps compounding.
SRM Global Hospital opens at Kattankulathur and the SRM School of Banking in Chennai.
Coimbatore.

Our Mission
To deliver world class academics matched to the demands of this century. To develop each child's talents in the arts, on the stage, and on the field with the same seriousness we bring to the classroom. To cultivate kindness to all forms of life and the values of truth, honesty, and transparency. To keep our teachers learning, always, so that every lesson is better than the last.
We ASPIRE. And we teach it by living it.
Six values, one word. Turn each letter over.
Two letters worth reading.
hen we decided to bring SRM Public School to Coimbatore, we asked ourselves one question: would we send our own children here? Everything on this campus, from the laboratories to the Calm Cove, exists because the answer had to be yes. I invite you to visit us and ask the hardest questions you have. Schools should be chosen with open eyes.
school is more than its buildings and achievements. It lives in the little moments that shape a child's world: a teacher who listens, a student who perseveres, a helping hand, or a simple act of kindness.
These everyday moments nurture curiosity, confidence, compassion, and a love for lifelong learning. As Principal, my vision is to create a space where every child feels valued, every question matters, and every opportunity inspires growth.
I invite you to look beyond our classrooms and experience the spirit of our school, where little moments create lasting memories and every day opens doors to new possibilities. Our doors are open. We look forward to welcoming you!
